of mutual resemblance and emotional attachments.
Canine Beauties: Sleeping or Otherwise
Minnesota-based photographer and former Wausau Daily Herald
photojournalist Butch McCartney is an astute observer of dogs and
their quirky personalities, which will be apparent in the portraits
comprising this complementary exhibition to Dog Dogs. Canine Beauties
is also the Woodson Art Museum*s response to Wausau Dance Theatre*s
spring production, Sleeping Beauty.
William Steig: The Man Who Never Grew Up
Called the *King of Cartoons* by Newsweek, William Steig
(1907-2003) was a highly respected and entertaining cartoonist

Conservatory Exhibit: Light Gaps
The trees were just trimmed and the bushes were pruned during annual
maintenance in the Bolz Conservatory. Now it’s time to see
the light in the forest! Learn about light and how plants develop
and change in the forest as light fluctuates. With more than 650
plants in the Bolz Conservatory the tropical plants compete for every
sunbeam that radiates through the glass pyramid. When a gap in the
forest canopy is created naturally or by a clipping from Olbrich’s
Conservatiory staff, new growth develops at an exceptional rate.
Admission to the Conservatory is $1.
