Assistant Preparator for Exhibitions and Collections Production  
John Michael Kohler Arts Center
General Overview of Position: The John Michael Kohler Arts Center, an innovative visual and performing arts complex focusing on contemporary art, is seeking a full-time assistant preparator who will help execute the installation of exhibitions, including preparing works of art for display and assisting with packing and transporting works of art.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates must have a BA or BFA, and be able to demonstrate the ability to work directly with artists and curatorial staff. Carpentry and finishing skills required. Museum preparator experience, with knowledge of art handling, framing, and general installation procedures, preferred. Heavy lifting, climbing, and strenuous physical activities are essential functions of the position.

Museum Educator
Waukesha County Historical Society and Museum
General Overview of Position: The Waukesha County Historical Society and Museum is seeking applicants for the position of Museum Educator to develop, implement and manage its education programs. Responsibilities include maintaining strong communication with school districts and other members of the Waukesha County community, scheduling and supervising volunteers in the Education Department, providing monthly reports to the Board of Trustees, and managing departmental budgets. Specific duties will include scheduling and facilitating tours for schools, scout groups, and adult visitors, developing and preparing curriculum based activities, and maintaining tour related supply inventories.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a degree in Education, Museum Studies or a related field with 2-3 years of education experience, preferably in a museum setting. Must be familiar with state academic standards and be able to deliver programs to a wide audience base. Strong organizational, problem solving and project management skills are required. This person must have the ability to coordinate personnel, plan and administer programs for the department, be self motivated and work with minimal supervision.

Historic Site Coordinator

General Overview of Position: The Milwaukee County Historical Society is seeking applicants for the position of Historic Site Coordinator to manage Trimborn Farm, and coordinate activities for three historic homes located throughout Milwaukee County.  Responsibilities include the supervision of daily operations at Trimborn Farm, as well as the coordination and development of education and restoration programs.  Specific duties will include the recruitment and training of volunteers to serve as docents, marketing of the four facilities to targeted audiences, scheduling of tours for school groups and adult visitors, supervision of restoration projects, and planning and coordination of four major weekend events annually.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a degree in museum studies, history or a related field (M.A. preferred), with 2-5 years of experience in a museum setting. Experience with living historical farms or agricultural museums is preferred, as is background and work experience in historic preservation and education. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
